Poem: What Are Your Red Flags?

Poem: What Are Your Red Flags?

I remember seeing so many red flags. I didn’t want to listen. I wanted to take his word for who he was. His past actions were insignificant. People have the power to change… After all, love is blind. Love has no bounds. No constrictions, no true way of measuring the abundance of care to give. I’ve met the most beautiful souls. The most wonderful, energetic, loving, caring, vibrant souls of empaths. Empaths that are attached to narcissists. A true narcissists cares only for himself and the ability to control. To control an individual, the situation of how others perceive their victim, their victim’s money, even to the extent of isolating the victim or worse. All to make themselves look great, grand, wonderful, or to have others perceive them as this perfect specimen that was given as a gift to others in the world. They are yearning praise, attention, power, and control. Sometimes it can’t be seen until it is too late… Love…is…blind… I ask again…What are your red flags? What are you unwilling to accept? Be careful what you tolerate. Forgiveness is good, but how many times must one continue to forgive the same mistake over and over? The honeymoon stage is great but after a while…power and control take over. I should have listened to the silent response. What are your red flags?
